Rich Media and Flash Requirements
The flash file needs to contain a parameter called a "click tag”. The Flash banner needs to have a specific click action assigned in order for FreeFi to pass the URL entered when the banner is defined in our ad server. This is something that is done before the Flash banner is compiled from a .fla into an .swf file. If the click information is hard-coded into the ad, then FreeFi cannot properly process clicks.
The banner must contain the following code:
on (press) {
getURL (clickTAG, "_blank");
}
• Do not define the website URL within this code as this will prevent us from tracking the clicks.
• The variable "_blank" must be included after the comma for the click to open the URL in a new window or tab.
• The click URL is then defined separately in FreeFi’s ad server in order to track click-through's over the course of the campaign.
• Please provide the associated Click URL.
• For all Flash creatives, a separate non-flash failover image (GIF or JPEG) is required.
• Flash version 9+ preferred.
• Action Script 3.0 preferred.
• Maximum frames per second: 30
More complete information for Flash ad designers is available at: http://www.adobe.com/resources/richmedia/tracking/
